Fasten your pack to the front of the Travel Bag for a secure carry, and even more luggage space (all while keeping your hands free). Detach the pack for day trips and shorter excursions.

Step 1: Attach the bottom loop of the backpack to the front bottom attachment point of the Global Travel Bag.

Step 2: Attach the top loop of the backpack to the front top attachment point of the Global Travel

I love the look and feel of the bag

I love the look and feel of the bag. Smart build. Took it on a weekend trip with me and I could fit in much more then I expected, while still travelling comfortably. Now considering my next trip, just to be able to take the bag with me :)

Pas encore utilisé en situation mais la qualité perçue, les finitions et détails sont de très bon niveau. Le format différent d’un sac à dos classique est bien plus adapté pour un usage voyage et ranger ses vêtements.

La verdad, es una mochila que principalmente elegí por el diseño, me gusta que tenga una forma más parecida a una caja que la clásica de tubo que parece que tienes una chepa, estuve dudando mucho entre este modelo y el de 40L, ya que vengo de una mochila de 55L Gregory. y la de 40L por reviews y yo siendo bajito no queria parecer una tortuga ninja.

lo positivo: la forma, los colores es muy bonito, y los materiales externos se ven duros y muy resistentes. y aunque sea de 30L me parece espaciosa para organizar en packing cubes.

lo negativo: todos los bolsos accesorios son muy estrechos, y como lleves la mochila muy cargada notas tirantez en la entrada y salida de las cosas y se hace muy incomodo al acceso si tienes la mochila muy cargada. y quizas con respecto al espacio aunque no me quejo, hubiese puesto 5 litros más, y el bolsillo del portátil que es algo que critican, me parece una tonteria, se habre y cierra bien, metes el portátil angulado y ya esta, a mi me entra mi MacBook de 13 pulgadas en una funda tipo folio bien, pero a mis viajes voy sin portátil. me llevo lenovo legión Y700 que es ideal para juegos leer manga y ver alguna serie o película

la veo ideal para viajes de 12-15 dias de climas tropicales.
(llevo dos pares de zapatillas, una dentro de la mochila, assics trabuco y unas cangrejeras)
para viajes de climas fríos me seguiré llevando la Z55 de Gregory, la ropa de invierno es más voluminosa

Positive with a but...

The backpack looks great and provides an overall nice experience.
Very good materials and zippers and with a lot a room to organize your stuff. I took the bag in two trips and it handled it very well.
With that being said, I just can't understand how a nice bag like this has such a poor designed laptop compartment. The compartment it self is pretty spacious but the opening is super small. In order for you to put your laptop in, even a 13 inch, you have to manoeuvre it to get it inside making, for example, the TSA check an hassle if your bag is full. Also this compartment doesn't have a false bottom and is not very well padded. It feels, sometimes, that I'm damaging my laptop just for trying to make it inside. If you travel without a laptop, this is a very nice bag but if you normally bring a laptop with you, I would definitely not advice you to buy this bag.

Global Pro 3-Way Briefcase 20L – seems to be too stiff and hard (I haven't used it yet).

I own three bags from Topo Designs:
1) the Global Pro 3-Way Briefcase 20L
2) the Mountain Cross Bag 17L
3) the Global Briefcase 20L
The Global Pro 3-Way Briefcase 20L is aesthetically unique. The fabric seems innovative, and the brand guarantees its wear resistance and considers it tear-resistant. Let's hope so. I don't like shoulder straps for backpack use, and such straps make the bag bulkier.
The hooks (hardware) on this one seem sturdy and of higher quality than the hooks on the Mountain Cross Bag 17L; let's hope the hooks are strong and durable, and that the sewn-in loops on the bag also hold up.
The front pocket is very nice, allowing you to store smaller items without having to open the main compartment. The retractable handles are also nice.
The internal organization is better than the Global Briefcase 20L, but it still needs improvement.
The side handle (the one used when the bag is converted into a backpack) seems to be too protruding and noticeable.
I haven't used the Global Pro 3-Way Briefcase 20L yet, but I have to say it's very stiff and hard (I hope it softens with use).
I hope to be proven wrong and perhaps contact the Topo Designs design team to reassure me about the durability of this bag's material and whether it will soften with use.
I own the Dark Pine colorway (nice color).

Small hole inside the yellow lining of the micro pouch.

Good product, well-made and durable. Just one note: when inserting the thin, flexible plastic string that holds the three pouches together, be careful, as the string can puncture the pouches. For example, after removing the plastic string (without forcing it), there was a small hole in the yellow lining of the smaller pouch. Now, that hole seems to be gone. Keep in mind that I haven't used the micro pouch yet.

The visor could be improved.
