the first impression is realy good, nice quality, love the bag. Just for theshoulderstrap i would have loved, if i could make it even shorter or havethe padding moved even further to one side. so that when i wear it thigly on my back, the padding is on my shoulder, not on my belly.
I’m happy with this purchase! Despite the high price, it is well designed, practical, and beautiful. The size is just perfect for me—not too big and not too small.
So far, I really like it. Now, let’s see how it holds up in terms of durability over the long run!

Mountain Cross Bag 17L - weak and not very durable hooksI own three Topo Designs bags:

The Mountain Cross Bag 17L is aesthetically pleasing and the perfect size, it's colorful, and it looks great. The interior is well-organized, but I would have designed the various compartments with slightly thicker material. It's not extremely durable, but it's adequate for my purpose. I don't always carry my laptop in it. I don't like the shoulder strap hooks at all; they're plastic and, in my opinion, not very durable or sturdy; in fact, they could break, risking the bag falling to the floor. I hope to be proven wrong and perhaps contact the Topo Designs design team to reassure me about the durability of the swivel hooks. I've replaced them with zinc alloy or stainless steel hooks. The hooks are the first thing I'd change on this bag.

I reluctantly shifted from by previous Topo work bag and this is smaller so was concerned it would be small but it's so spacious. Being landscape and yellow inside, you can see everything inside. This bag is just awesome. thank you!

It's small, comfortable, yet surprisingly holds a good amount of stuff. It is one of the favorite shoulder bags I have ever owned (if not THE favorite).
I’ve been using my Topo Designs Mointain Cross Bag and it’s perfect for travel. Not too big, not too small. The bag allows me to organize my stuff and the yellow interior makes it easier to find things inside. And no matter what I stuff in there there stills seems to be room for more, which I don’t understand. It’s like it’s breaking the laws of the universe or something.
Great bag, perfect compact size but still fits 15" laptop and all the usual stuff in. Worth it.
This is my favourite bag now, I really enjoy using it. It is remarkably capacious (on YT someone described it as the Mary Poppins of bags—he was right).
One thing to be aware of: The laptop sleeve ONLY JUST fits a MacBook air, minus ANY extra protective casing except perhaps the 2mm thick clip-on cases. The sleeve's inner barrier is very thin, so objects inside the main compartment will put pressure on the laptop. For me, this is a bit limiting because I like my laptop in a hard shell case all the time.

I bought this as an EDC bag and specifically for travel. It carries my 13-inch MacBook plus everything I need for the day perfectly. And the multi carry option - shoulder strap, cross-body and grab handles - mean it is really versatile.
Other than very practical this bag is real looker. Love it.

Not as small as a regular sling, not too large as a backpack. Perfect size for EDC, just enough organization in it and very comfortable. Can be carried as a shoulder bag or a sling when biking, and has the right space for taking a 13'' laptop.
