Greensky Bluegrass x Topo Designs
Greensky Bluegrass isn't your traditional "bluegrass" outfit. This tight-knit group of friends are known for their genre-bending style, forward-thinking musical arrangements, and one heck of a light show when on tour (and they're almost always on tour).
And while on tour this past summer, each band member contributed a handful of songs to make this one of our most diverse playlists to date. We caught up with guitarist and co-founder Dave Bruzza a few weeks ago and asked him a few questions about life on the road.
What are 3 things you always have with you on the road?
I always travel with a book, headphones and a raincoat.
How do you pack for touring? Any travel hacks?
I usually have a guitar on my back, so I use my Mountain Briefcase as a carry-on. I like to put my charger cables and earbuds in Accessory Bags to use the space in the bag economically.
What's one thing you miss about being home when you’re on tour?
I always miss my own bed.
Favorite place you've traveled?
I have a lot of favorite places but Japan had the most impact on me. The people, the history, the architecture and the FOOD!! The food was amazing!
Author/artist/musician that has influenced you the most?
This question changes constantly for me. But a main influence on me has always been John Prine. Great songs to see the world by.
Thanks, Bruzza, and enjoy these tunes selected by GSBG. Also, check out their very own festival this June, Camp Greensky.
