Chris is a self-taught photographer and artist, based in Central Coast California, whose work is layered by surf, outdoor, lifestyle and travel subjects. Using the ocean as his muse, and searching for wild, remote destinations, Burkard has a humbling way of making us (humans) feel small in contrast to nature.
